Who carries out the training?

LAPD staff and volunteers who are disabled or have experience of working with disabled people.
LAPD was established in 1994 by a group of disabled people aiming to encourage, support and assist disabled people.

A convenient time and place for you arranged with LAPD.

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)

The DDA (1995) is aimed at ending the discrimination of disabled people.


The Act gives disabled people new rights in the areas of:
Employment
Access to goods, facilities and services
Buying and renting of land and property
Public Transport
Education


LAPD offer training to help you identify your responsibilities and the action required in order to comply with the Act.
