Who needs an Access Audit?

Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995

Since October 1999 the DDA has required that all service providers make “reasonable adjustments” to their service to ensure that disabled customers are not treated less favourably.  Legislation introduced in October 2004, requires Service Providers to make adjustments to premises to overcome any physical barriers to providing that service.

Service Providers

Can a disabled customer enter your building unaided and receive the same or equal service as your other customers?

Have you made the “reasonable adjustments” to your services, that you are now required by law to have made in order to provide that service?

If you answered “no” or “don’t Know” to any of these questions, consider an Access Audit of your premises.

Employers

1. Access Audits
Have you made the necessary adjustments to your policies and procedures to meet your obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act to provide equal opportunities for disabled employees?

2. Training
Are your staff aware of their responsibilities under the DDA when acting on your behalf:  Do they have the tools and resources required to ensure that disabled customers get the same service as everyone else?

We do Access Audits tailored to fit the client’s needs.

If you need any part of an access audit or would like further information fill in the form below and we will get back to you or ring Paul Parker on 01522 530305 to discuss your needs
