Lincolnshire Association of People with Disabilities (LAPD) employ a team of staff based in Ancaster Day Centre in Lincoln, but covering the County. We have outreach offices in Boston and Spalding manned by Staff and Volunteers.
The Executive Board of Trustees have overall responsibility for the organisation and its staff.
Our Aims:
LAPD was established in 1994 by a group of disabled people in order to:
Encourage, support and assist disabled people to make changes, both in their personal lives and in the community, that enable them to live their lives to the full.
We achieve this by:
Taking part in consultations, networking with other disability organisations and voluntary groups, securing and using a range of resources, developing and delivering services, working with a range of organisations to ensure disabled people have a voice.
Activities Include:
Delivering training on Disability Awareness and the Disability Discrimination Act.
Access Auditing to provide recommendations for improvements in line with the DDA and Part M of the Building Regulations.
